American singer-songwriter and actress Ashlee Simpson is heading back to college to study religion.
The 28-year-old Texan left high school at the age of 16 to tour the Christian music circuit before she became a pop singer in the 1990s.
She later earned her diploma by taking the General Educational Development (GED) but admits she has been inspired to head back to class by serious TV documentaries, reports thesun.co.uk.
"I've been contemplating taking a college course in religion. I love religion. I remember when the book 'The Da Vinci Code' came out, the Discovery Channel did a three-night piece on it that I recorded and then watched eight times," she revealed.
